Juliet’s paintings and oil pastels of musicians are all developed from sketchbook drawings. She is seldom without a sketchbook at a concert, be it one of the Brilliant Young Musicians performances in her home town of Marlborough, or further afield. Players from any of these studies, amateurs, talented newcomers or world class professionals like clarinetist  clarinetist Emma Johnson are recombined to make their own visual music in the pictures.

“With the constant flowing movement between player, instrument and each other. Musicians are subjects I can’t resist.”
